Oath or Declaration of Office by the new Deputy Director ‎General

Chadian diplomat Dr Mahamat Adoum Koulbou, appointed as Deputy Director General of the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute by the African Union, was sworn in before the members of the Ad-Interim Executive Council of the Institute, held on September 11, 2019 in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia, composed of senior representatives of the African Union and the League of Arab States, responsible for Africa-Arab cooperation, on the sidelines of the 14th high-level meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Africa-Arab Partnership.

Created in 2002 jointly by the African Union and the Arab League, the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute, with its headquartered in Bamako, Mali, aims to strengthen and promote the historical and cultural links uniting Arab and African peoples, to protect the common cultural heritage, as well as to encourage cooperation and cultural exchange between the two African and Arab regions.
