The International Scientific Symposium under the Theme: “Africa-Arab Cooperation in the Field of Scientific Research and Sustainable Development” was held at the headquarters of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), on 17-18 March 2022, organized by the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization and the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies. The opening ceremony was made by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the ALECSO, who in his statement affirmed the support for scientific research efforts in the Arab and African region as a fundamental issue in the process of sustainable development and achieving the desired progress, he also underscored that scientific research requires from all of us at various levels, to prioritize and emphasize the role of universities, scientific research institutions, production services and institutions, in the public and private sectors, to achieve sustainable development. He also pointed out that strengthening the Arab-African partnership, especially in the cultural and scientific fields, is a work that meets the present and future goals of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization.
This symposium is part of the projects incorporated in the cooperation and partnership agreement concluded between ALECSO and the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute, with the aim to strengthen the partnership between the two parties, especially in common areas and to achieve the aspirations of future generations.
