The conference was launched on the occasion of International Peace Day, under the auspices of the League of Arab States and the organization of the Shaf Center for Research Studies to shed light on the concept of comprehensive peace in all its dimensions to discuss the most important conflicts that the region witnessed during the past period, and areas of conflict, and to come up with recommendations to be submitted to policy makers with respect to lay clear foundations towards strengthening stability in the region.
The conference was attended by a number of ambassadors of Arab and African countries, in addition to representatives of Arab and African research centers and strategic studies.
During his intervention, the Director-General of the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute, Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Salem Soufi, said that the Institute is open to all initiatives and visions, including the Shaf Center for Future Studies that seeks to analyze problems and crises in order to bring peace to the region.
The Director General also continued, “We rely on distinguished research studies, and we hope that the center will have a clear vision as a tool for dealing with crises properly.”
